Who We Are

I had reached a point of frustration with my CRP (Conservation Reserve Program) land that had become infested with relentless Canada thistle. Throughout the scorching summer, I tirelessly spot sprayed the invasive weed using a John Deere gator, enduring the sweltering heat and dirt. Unfortunately, my efforts led to an unfortunate incident where I accidentally clogged up the radiator and ultimately ruined the motor. This setback not only diminished my progress but also added an unexpected expense to my already strained situation.
To compound matters, I faced the additional burden of allergies and asthma, which required me to spend a considerable amount of money on medication just to keep going. One afternoon, utterly exhausted and disheartened by the recurring cycle, I couldn't help but wonder if there was a better way to tackle this problem. Spot spraying with an airplane seemed impractical, so I began exploring alternative methods. That's when the idea of using a drone struck me, and I eagerly embarked on an internet search.
After some extensive research, I discovered that drone technology could indeed be used for agricultural purposes, including crop spraying. However, finding a local company that specialized in this field proved to be a challenge. Eventually, my perseverance led me to a company located in Bismarck, North Dakota, which offered the solution I was seeking. Without hesitation, I placed an order for a DJI Agras T-30 drone from them, knowing it would revolutionize my battle against the Canada thistle.
However, there was a slight setback; I had to wait for the drone to arrive before I could begin the licensing process. Understanding the regulations and legal requirements surrounding drone operations took time and effort. Over the course of almost three years, I meticulously navigated the bureaucratic maze, ensuring compliance with the US government, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and the state of South Dakota.
During this period, I dedicated my time to assembling a specialized spray trailer, meticulously arranging every component to complement the drone's operation. The process required careful planning, patience, and an unwavering determination to see this project through.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, all the pieces fell into place. The DJI Agras T-30 drone arrived, fully armed to combat the noxious weeds that had plagued my land. Equipped with cutting-edge technology and a payload capacity that exceeded my expectations, my new aerial partner was ready to take flight.
With the appropriate licensing and documentation now in hand, I embarked on a new chapter in my battle against the persistent weed invasion. The drone would not only save me valuable time and effort but also reduce my exposure to allergens and asthma triggers, ultimately lowering my medical expenses.
As the drone soared through the skies, elegantly and precisely delivering the necessary herbicide to the targeted areas, a renewed sense of hope washed over me. The years of struggle, the countless setbacks, and the bureaucratic hurdles had finally paid off. My CRP land, once overrun by noxious weeds, would soon flourish with the intended native plants and provide the ecological balance it was intended for.
While my journey had been arduous and time-consuming, I could finally see a brighter future for both my land and my well-being. The combination of cutting-edge drone technology and my perseverance had led me to success. This life-changing experience was a testament to the power of innovation, determination, and the endless possibilities that arise when one refuses to accept defeat.
